In your pot over medium heat, melt your butter (1/4 cup, 57 g) and once melted add in your sugar (1/2 cup, 100 g). Simmer the butter and sugar together until it begins to bubble. It is important not to let the butter and sugar begin to caramelize.
Stir in cocoa powder (1/3 cup) and chocolate chips (1/2 cup, 85 g) to the butter and sugar. Whisk until chocolate chips are completely melted.
Remove your saucepan from the heat and slowly begin to stir in your cream (3/4 cup, 175 g). Stir it in about 1/4 cup at a time, whisking well between each batch. Whisk in your salt (1/4 tsp) and transfer your homemade chocolate sauce to a glass jar to cool. Store in the fridge for up to a week. Warm slightly in the microwave or on the stove before serving and enjoy!
