Course: Dessert

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream 480 g
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar 30 g
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • pinch salt

Equipment

  • Measuring glass
  • Whipped cream dispenser
  • Nitrous oxide charger

Method

  1. In a measuring glass, whisk together heavy whipping cream (2 cups, 480 g), powdered sugar (1/4 cup, 30 g), vanilla (1 tsp) and a pinch of salt. Whisk until sugar is well incorporated and there are minimal lumps (it's okay if there are a few).
  2. Pour cream mixture into whipped cream dispenser and screw the lid in place. Make sure the gasket seal is also in place before screwing the lid on.
  3. Put your NO2 charger into the charger holder with the pointed side facing out. Screw the charger holder onto the whipped cream dispenser. You will hear the canister fill with the gas.
  4. Shake the whipped cream dispenser well for about 10 seconds. This helps the gas get evenly distributed inside of the canister.

Notes

  • Keep your whipped cream dispenser in the fridge or freezer so it's nice and cold when you're ready to make your whipped cream.
  • Shake the dispenser well after charging the canister with the nitrous oxide to ensure that the gas is well dispersed.
  • Change out the decorating nozzles for whatever look you are wanting to have on your dessert!
